Studies On Tchaikovsky's Song Six OP.6

Art songs are called "Romance" in Russia.The creation of art songs of Russia is rich in connotation,pleasant in melody,melancholy in mood and various in harmony and accompaniment,forming national forms and charm of art songs.Many Russian composers such as Glinka and Rachmaninoff created a series of excellent art songs with the distinctive features of Russia.Tchaikovsky's art song plays an important role in all his musical pieces.Its beautiful melodies,profound emotions and unique style embody the artistic value of Tchaikovsky's musical creation.It is also a gem of musical and vocal teaching. This thesis takes "Song Six"OP.6,which is in the early stage of Tchaikovsky,as the subject matter. It tries to explore the artistic features of art songs in Tchaikovsky's early stage and its effect on his creation in his middle and late stage on the basis of detailed analysis,comparison and induction.This thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is to describe an overview of Russian art songs,and the creation situation of Tchaikovsky's art songs.The second chapter is to give a detailed analysis on the selection of subject matter, melody, harmony, musical form, style from a set of art songs which is named OP.6.In addition, by comparing it with other composers'art songs,we aim to get a deeper understanding of the impact on the later creation of his art songs which the early pieces of art songs of Tchaikovsky have and the association with the art songs'creation of other composers. The third chapter is to illustrate the characteristic of the vocal performance and teaching value of the set of "Song Six".Tchaikovsky created a large number of musical works with a very high artistic value which is familiar to us all.However, very few people have done research on his art songs in the early stage.That is why this thesis is to explore the ideas and precess on Tchaikovsky's art songs based on the study on the given set of his early songs.
