In the 1980's , Su Tong becomes famous as a pioneer, during the twenty years' creating process, he has interpreted the short novel which is quiet in today's society with a different kind of passion. Taking Su Tong's short story as the object, this reseach starts from the intensive reading of these short stories and pays more attention to their general sorting and grasping.The first part of the research takes the characters in these short stories as the starting point, explores Su Tong's creating attitude to a certain kind of figure when he carries out the literature shaping process, and the deeper causes of his creations. It is easy for us to distinguish his different comprehensions to the figures in the stories, and to grasp his short stories from multi-levels and muti-laterals by classifying these figures to the role of growth, the role of ethics and the role of secular.The discovering of the image elements originates from his different treatments to the poetic elements in the different texts. No matter it is "Toon Tree Street" series, or the short texts which has the blur background, Su Tong will add the appropriate image. This way of writing not only adds a strong regional flavor, but also strengthens the poetic elements.As to Su Tong's narrative strategies to his short stories, the analysis are carried out from the choices of person narration, narrative perspective and the conversion of the narrative perspective as well. During the analysis process, we will gradually analyze the narrative exploration to the short texts, based on this, it is easy for us to close to the authentic aspects of Su Tong's creations, and to achieve more comprehensive knowledge about him.
