Comparative Study On The Stories Of Love Affairs In "San Yan Er Pai" And Decameron

"San Yan Er Pai", the Chinese traditional short novel(include Yu Shi Ming Yan, Jing Shi Tong Yan, Xing Shi Heng Yan,Chu Ke Pai An Jing Qi,Er Ke Pai An Jing Qi.) which is the most important short novel series. Whereas the Italian work Decameron, is the representative novel written by Boccaccio in renaissance. The latter is earlier three hundred years than the former in the time of finishing work. However, the novels "San Yan Er Pai", and Decameron, all of them are produced in the early history of Capitalism, and their content and form of inside books have extraordinarily similar. It can be the indispensable precondition which we can make comparative research towards them. This thesis chooses a large number of adultery love affairs which they exist inside the book as my study today, and then the author finds the similarities and special components inside them, and exploits the generating cause in history, society and culture.The novel "San Yan Er Pai" and Decameron have two same points about their contents. Firstly, both ate eager to establish new marriage order, which needs the social equality between man and woman, admiration of free love and affirmation of natural physical love desire. Secondly, both need to pay attention to the social reality. And in terms of the most point is to pay attention to monk and businessman, the reason of this situation is change of social politics. What's more, the ruler's fatuity and life lewdness of the late Ming Dynasty make non-strictness in social morality, and the confrontation of religion tribe and emperor tribe, both are the soil of germination of new social thought. Thirdly, the germination of newly- produced economical relation. The capital production relation geminates the class of townspeople, they rebel against the press of feudal forces and they try their best to break out the traditional durance. Lastly, it is the production of new culture. The production of the left thought led by Wang Yangming in the lately Ming Dynasty and humanitarian thought in Italy, which are the forceful weapon of rebel against feudalist morality. From these adultery stories, it presents the force of the new thought.Inside the adultery stories of "San Yan Er Pai"and Decameron, although both contents have greatly sameness, the disparities are the key factor in the process of formation of sameness. We find out three disparities when we study these adultery stories. Firstly, it is the non-sameness of main body. In terms of marital situation, the proportion of practicing adultery affair of Decameron is much higher than that of "San Yan Ep Pai". And the main cause of this situation have three aspects, the first is marriage age is different between man and woman; the second is non-sameness of marital relations; the third is the punishment of the adultery. Secondly, it is the non-sameness of the process of adultery. It mainly demonstrate that the proportion of using intermediator during the adultery is higher than that of Decameron, and the case of designing circumvention for adultery is so, about this, we can find out the answer in the difference of the marital custom and the degree of woman liberation. Whereas the adulterers in the "San Yan Er Pai "are usually killing other people, the cause of this situation is the result of being severe punishment for the married woman adultery. Lastly, it is the non-sameness of consequence of adultery. Inside the "San Yan Er Pai", the proportion of being killed is greatly high, whereas the adulterers in Decameron can usually run away, and the cause of this situation has three aspects: the first is the difference of means in adultery; the second is non-sameness in degree of social endurance; and the third is disparity of work creation thought.In a word, the novel "San Yan Er Pai" and Decameron not only contain the advanced thought, and also punk cultural elements. They are the cultural spirit product, which include different cultural gene. Through these contrastive research, which help all of us further exploit the nature of culture development and can inherit and develop splendid traditional culture, and also help us establish harmonious culture in the world.
