Malaysia is an important country in the research field of Southeast Asia studies; the academe always attaches much importance to the change of its foreign policy. The development of Malaysian diplomatic policy is connected with the development of its foreign relations. The thesis focuses on the analysis of the following aspects: The general development trend of Malaysian diplomatic policy, the relations between Malaysia and other countries under the guidance of the diplomatic policy, the new characteristics of Malaysian foreign relations after the financial crisis of the Southeast Asia, and the expectation of the Malaysian foreign relations in the new century. The thesis intends to reveal the essential characters of Malaysian diplomatic policy by analyzing the facts in the Malaysian foreign relations.
