Wetherill Associates, Inc.——The Glorious Pursuit Of Business Ethics

What is the essence of business? Do all businessmen only care about their profits? How best to embody the value of Business Ethics in business practices? These are the topics of this paper. Using the story of WAI as a case, Mr. Miztani Masaiti抯 Four Operating Principles is used to analyze the relationship among Humanity, Society, Efficiency and Competition, they are Contradictory yet intertwined. My viewpoint is that respecting Humanity should be the Starting point of all business practices. Only by respecting Humanity can a company enhance their Competition by inspiring people抯 Potential capabilities. With these strengths a company could provide Society more welfare and improve people抯 lives. Humanity is the end-result of all business. it is a developing trend of Human society. The second part of this paper will be discussion of Business Ethics performance in different industries and different countries.
