| .~ ~ \IAK Abstract Patent Law, as an important component of Knowledge Property Law, is very significant for Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of inventors, and for promoting the application and popularization or the international exchange and cooperation of science and technology. The modem patent system and its legislation came into being in England, which has great effect on Hong Kong. By comparing the continental patent law with that of Hong Kong, this paper has illustrated their procedure and basic contents, discovered their similarity and found that the patent of Hong Kong is available useful to continental people. And it has following major characteristics. That is the patent rights is objectively unitary and subjectively particular, its introduction has its feasibility, the granted condition has its wordily novel features, the limitation to the object of patent rights is scientific, and so on. In order to offer the conflict respite, speed the communication and cooperation between the content and Hong Kong, enable the skill and specific contents scientific and reasonable, and provide better legitimate environment, the continental patent law should draw lessons from that of Hong Kong in six aspects.
