This thesis thinks that in this new century of open policy and modernization it is of theoretical and realistic importance to systematically analyze contemporary Chinese government official corruption and the struggle of anti-corruption. The Sixth Plenary Session of the Fifteenth Central Committee passed Decision Enhancing and Improving Party Style which said that party cadres' honesty directly determines feelings of the people and the foundation of the ruling party. We must pay attention to power usage for the people. We must tackle this problem on the surface and at the root to prevent and solve corruption from the source. Only in doing so can we push forward the party's honesty construction. Comrade Jiang Zeming once pointed out at the Fourth Central Commission for Inspecting Discipline that, 'We must rule the party well before ruling the nation, we must rule the party sternly.' This calls for a stem ruling of the official. Consequently, analyzing Chinese government official corruption theoretically and realistically to find principle measures and value our government's struggle against corruption since reform and open policy is the inevitable demand of enhancing party style and honesty construction. It's the urgent demand to practice the important thought of Three Representatives and guarantee to persist the quality of our party as well as nation.Guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Jiang Zeming's Thought of Three Representatives, this thesis uses Marxist anti-corruption principles and the author's management knowledge and practical knowledge to systematically and profoundly analyze contemporary Chinese government official corruption and the struggle against corruption.In the prefacing, through domestic and international legal definition of corruption behavior, this thesis points out that although gaining private interest through power is relevant to corruption, they are not the same. It is corruption only when it causes serious results. In the first part, the thesis explains the forms andcauses of corruption to expose its harm. In contemporary China, corruption expresses as deal between power and money and it exists in every corner of political, economical, legal and cultural realm. This part also dynamically analyze the cause of corruption from a unique angle. In the second part, through the review of Chinese government's practice of anti-corruption, it comes to the conclude that Chinese government's determination is resolute and consistent, its achievement is enormous, hi the third part, this thesis argues that anti-corruption law-making is the basic guarantee to remove corruption after analyzing the role of law system. And building a mechanism to effectively exercise law is an important premise for the functioning of anti-corruption law-making.This thesis insists the combination of theories and practice, the combination of tackling problems on the surface and at the root, the combination of microcosmic and macrocosmic. It is of creativeness in furthur pushing forward Chinese government's measure to remove corruption. Firstly, this thesis scientifically re-defines corruption through domestic and international law. It holds the view that corruption is a behavior to satisfy private or small group benefits, abusing the public power, seriously jeopardize public benefits and government image. Secondly this thesis deeply and dynamically analyzes the cause of government official corruption from a unique angle. It exposes that the characteristics of contemporary Chinese government official corruption is deals between power and money and the manifestation is abusing public power. Thirdly, the conclusion is that Chinese government's determination to remove corruption is resolute and consistent. Chinese government has the ability to solve the problems of corruption.
