Corruption , called "the cancer of government", is a severe common social problem confronted by every state in the world. The corruption of government officials is very popular, however, because of the disparity of economic, political and social environment, form and force of governing, the degree of corruption is different from each other.With the economic and social change arising from reform and opening to the outside, corruption appears to be more and more serious, permeates in political, economic social and moral fields, and becomes a negative factor that affects the stability of our society and restricts the social development. The theory always develops with practice, and solves the problems from practice. From the angles of politics, economics, sociology, management etc, the scholars have researched corruption since it appeared, and have made a few achievements. On the basis of using those achievements for reference, this paper probes into the problem of corruption systematically.Clear concepts and complete analyzing tools are essemi?' conditions to analyze a social phenomenon correctly and deeply. The paper discusses basic concepts and narrates different theoretical analyzing tools. The rational knowledge is based on the perceptual knowledge, and the understanding to essence is from the deep understanding to the appearance. Therefore, the paper describes the present situation of our government officials' corruption. From angles of thought, politics, economies, history and culture, the third part of the paper using many analyzing approaches synthetically deeply analyses the reasons that cause corruption. To know is to solve. So this paper finally provides a series of measures to prevent and control corruption, including reforming government system, establishing rule of law, strengthening supervision, protecting civil rights, restricting power and intensifying education.
