Port connects production with consumption and also links inland with abroad, which contributes to her inland economy. At the time she attracts investment from foreign country. With the development of container carrying trade, as one of the most important port of the container transportation net, container port develops with full speed. Today our country has set up a whole set of container port system and appeared three main groups of ports.With the development of our country's economy and the opportunity from joining the WTO, we can foresee the international and domestic output of China will increase. The throughout of the container port will also increase swift and violent. But we'll have to face some problem from the construction of container ports.This paper starts from the development of container transportation in the world and in our country. It analyzes the situation of the main ports and branch ports. Based on the forecast model named line regression, index regression and Logis regression, the paper forecasts the throughout of Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenzhen ports. At last, the writer puts forward some strategy for our ports, and wishes they will be helpful to the construction of our country's container ports.
