In the late 20th century, science has developed by leaps and bounds Although science is pushing human society forward, its negative effect has resulted in many global problems, which makes man confront the alternative of life or death Beginning with the aspect, this thesis aims to probe into the relationship between science and morals, inquire into the question how science is used to accord with moral standard. Through the historical study of their relationship and macro-comparison between them, the thesis considers it possible to coordinate the relationship On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of modern science, the thesis proposes the ways of coordination. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part, the thesis explains the characteristics of modern science and the definition of morals, expounds three crises science brings for human society, namely outer, inner and latent crisis, then concludes that it is necessary and urgent to investigate the relationship of science and morals, that there is especial consideration about the moral use of science. In the second part, after studies different views about the relationship, the thesis makes clear its own position. The author thinks science and morals are different in cognitive object, appraisal standard and developing speed, but in the case of human society's needs, they are consistent. It is consistency that provides the possibility of their coordination. The third part is the focal point of the paper. The author sets forth four ways of coordination. The first is about scientists' sense of moral responsibility; the second advocates communication among the government, scientists and the public: the third is that morals must reform itself according to the development of society; the last emphasizes the necessity of strengthening the dialogue between science culture and literacy culture. Finally, the author sums up the thesis, poses some realistic problems found in coordinating the relationship.
