This article approaches the subject of the consummation of foreign investment legislation in China. It is divided into three parts:The first chapter discusses the development of international foreign direct investment and its influence on the international investment legislation through statistical figures. It proves that the integration of world economy and the liberalization of international investment are the trends of the world now.The second chapter discusses the general situations of foreign investment and foreign investment legislation of China. Setting about with the discussion on the development of the attraction of foreign investment, together with the features of various stages of utilization of foreign investment in China, this chapter briefly explains the shaping and development of the foreign investment law system of China.The third chapter discusses the consummation of the foreign investment legislation system of China. At present, setting up foreign founded enterprises is still the major channel of utilizing foreign investment and there is also a distance between the related laws and facts. It stresses on the shortages of the present foreign investment law system of China and, based on the development of international investment and the trend of legislation, it puts forward the suggestions on the reform and re-construction of present foreign investment law system of China .
