As a matter of fact, the key problem for development relies on the improvement of the service quality.The way out for improving management lies in the development of the comprehensive distribution service system. The reshuffle and joint venture of shipping, long-shore, harbor-related, overland transportation, inland water shipping enterprises, supply and demand sides, the development of storage and distribution, and multiple-model transport of water-water, water-land, port-railway, the expansion of the possession & utility of resources, and their occupancy.Establishing iron ore collecting and distribution centre, setting up bulk cargo comprehensive distribution service system, the single "carriage by sea" of bulk cargoes by bulk carriers further develops and extends to storage and distribution operation, the traditional operation model of "canvassing for shipment" transforms to the marketing service of products. Clients' materials costs are to be lowered down through the quality service, and the market portion is to be maintained via the quick and effective service networks.This paper focuses on the reseaches of bulk iron ore shipping business of COSCO , in accordance with the problems of "single carriage by sea" in bulk iron ore import shipping and, alternative of foreign trading system of China and, new-operations in import of bulk cargo, after in anaylysis based on moden logistic theory the paper offer the way of establishing iron ore collecting and distribution center in China.It employs the combinatin approaches of model analysis and calculation in the light of system theory, forecasting theory, decision-making theory as well as planning thery, so that the synthetic application of theoretical analysis and data analysis are realized.
