Taking the harbor cities specially, the present thesis makes a study of theinterre1ationship betWeen the harbor and the city, and then concentrates on space constrtlction'sforming and progressing in Liaoning PrOvince. It is developed in terms of the concept. relatedtheories, and an instance of the harbor cities in Liaoning province. Its distinct features 1ie in thetbl1owing aspects: taking the harbor cities pafticularly. combing theory and practice, andintegratil1g the qualitative and quantitative researches.This thesis uses such findings as the concentrating-pole, core --peripheral region. incubatorprocess and sub-urbanization, and formulates a proposal suitable for harbor cites in Liaoningprovince.
