As the important content of the research on Science of National Law, the research on National Common Law is being paid more and more attention to in the field of law studies. It is a new angle to research it by means of History and Ethnology.By way of expounding the history of the Common Law of Yao Nationality in the South of Five Ridges District such as the major content, the history effect and the causes of long-term existence, thesis has analyzed the importance and the profound and lasting influence to the society of Yao by Common Law.This thesis has also inquired into how to balance and harmonize the contradiction between the Common Law of Yao Nationality and the National Formulation Law, how to realize the amalgamation and joint between them, the conflicts and collides between the Common Law of Yao Nationality and the current national Law take place in the construction of legal system in the area of Yao Nationality.
