There are many discussions about Chinese mobile phone industry. Some people think, comparing with the international giants, such as Motorola, Nokia, the Chinese enterprises have no key technology. Their brands are much poorer. There is no way for the Chinese enterprises to compete with the foreign companies; Some people think, Chinese mobile phone enterprises can improve very quickly, just like the color TV set industry in the middle 1990's. And they can easily defeat the foreign companies in China market.Is there any chance for the Chinese mobile enterprises? How could they find their way to develop and succeed in China mobile phone market? I think, we should research the mobile phone market before we make a conclusion.In this article, I reviewed the development of Chinese mobile phone market, described present domestic mobile phone market, analyzed the market development driving elements, the international giants strategies and the Chinese mobile phone enterprise's strength , advantages and opportunities. My conclusion is competition of mobile phone is not only based on product but more and more on integrated marketing power. On product, Chinese companies have no ability to compete the international companies. But Chinese companies have their advantages in other respects. They have chance to wine. At last, I give my suggestions on market segment, channel construction, service and liaison for the Chinese enterprises to compete with the international mobile phone companies.
