The true nature of market economy is mainly characterized by competition and therefore the competition law is so important that it has been claimed as the constitution of economy. As the most universal international trade organization, WTO is playing a significant role in regulating competition relationships in the trade field and in eliminating restrictions among countries and in creating an overall fair competition environment . Therefore WTO is called economy UN.WTO member as China has become, even among the ten largest tradecountries in the world, China still faces many problems in legislation and practice that are unsui ted to the those stipulated by WTO, and these disharmony and disagreement will curb China's progress toward market economy. The paper is organized into four parts. Part I introduces some legal provisions of WTO. Part II presents how the ma in WTO members such as the US .Japan and some European countries make full use of the competition laws in thei r economica I act ivities. Part Ml provides the readers with a study on the present legislative situation of China's market economy. And in the Part IV, the last part, the author put forward his viewpoints of research regarding the market competition laws with a purpose of expounding his understanding of market competition issues through the theory study and in practice...
