According to the Stat. of CCID, the total income of computer market in Chinese is very large and attractive. But in the market of TV set, the supply was too large than the demand, and it resulted in losing to the TV set industry. So what we are concerning and worry about is the PC market, how it can grow in a smooth and healthy way.So it asks the enterprise to compete with efficient and right competitive strategy. In 2001, though there were such many competitive means in the market: price; technical application; distribution; advertisement and service. But there was less differentiation between the PC enterprise and the price competition was used too frequently. Can it results in the excess competition in PC market? If so, it would make big lost to the market and the GDP.Basic on the status of PC market and the essence theory of competition, three competitive strategies are discussed in this treatise: Overall Cost Leadership Strategy, Differentiation Strategy and Focus Strategy. The discussion includes: when and how these strategies would be applied, what the key points are when these strategies are used, how the PC enterprises make cost-down, differentiation and focus.Different enterprise should operate basic on its core competence. Every PC enterprise would have the responsibility to take good care of the PC industry.
