The Future Development Orientations For China's International Freight Forwarding Business After WTO Entry

With the rapid process of economic globalization, the optimization of international labour division and the development of international trade, the international freight forwarding industry which is one of the important fields of international service trade has witnessed drastic changes. For the past fifty years, China's international freight forwarding business has undergone fairly fast development during a gradually opening course. But it should be noticed that there is still a wide gap between China's international freight forwarders and their world competitors in terms of operation methods, network construction, management expertise or professional human resource management. With the economic globalization and the challenges and opportunities brought by China's WTO entry, our country's international freight forwarding industry must be reorganized and optimized. How to understand the current situation under this background, how to realize the gap , and how to grasp the opportunities while meeting challenges are the main questions this thesis wants to study . Proceeding with the basic connotations of international freight forwarding, this thesis will analyses its development trends, and the current development situation and the existed problems of China's international freight forwarding industry. It will also analysis, from the viewpoint of international logistical development orientation, the influence of the China's WTO entry on international freight forwarding business with emphasis being put on discussions about the related countermeasures taken by China for its international freight forwarding industry.The thesis is divided into three parts. To start with its basic connotations, the first part is to elaborate the emergence and progress of international freight forwarding and analysis its global development tendency.The second part is to analysis the development situation of our country's international freight forwarding industry and its existed major problems for the time being, and the influence on China's international freight forwarding business brought about by its WTO entry.On the base of the above two parts and from the aspects of scale, professions, network and logistics, the third part is to analysis the development tendency of China's international freight forwarders . It will focus on the analysis of modes and measures by China's international - freight forwarding enterprises to open the international logistics service market.
