Study On Interest Rate Liberalization

With the further development of socialist market economy and the rapid spread of economic and financial globalization, the abuses of interest rate control and its bad effect to the economy becomes more and more prominent, the interest rate liberalization becomes more and more urgent.Since 1996, our country has set out to practice this program, although we have made a lot of progress in it, yet there is still a long road to go for us to accomplish it. Before we carry out the reform, it is necessary for us to study the interest rate liberalization deeply and systematically, so as to offer theoretical guide for the coming reform practice.In the thesis, firstly, I define the interest rate liberalization, describe the attributes of it and recommend the theoretical basis of interest rate liberalization; secondly, I review the history of interest rate system reform of our country since opening reform, analyze the problems that still exist in the interest rate system, and bring forward the necessity of interest rate liberalization in our country; thirdly, I conclude the prerequisites for practicing the interest rate liberalization successfully on the basis of analyzing the experiences of the other countries; at last, I analyze the advantages and disadvantages of our country at present to carry out the reform, and bring forward the measure of the coordinating reforms to settle thedisadvantages to the reform, then I conceive a satisfactory reform mode for our interest rate liberalization.
