Study On The Implementation Of The ISM Code And Its Legal Problems

This paper tries to analyze (he nature and requirements of the ISM Code and states the application of the ISM ("ode, the responsibilities and duties imposed by the ISM Code. This paper then discusses in details about the effects of the ISM Code as a standard of ship management to the witness on limitation of liability lor maritime claims, the liability of the carrier, the ship-underwriter and the standards of seaworthiness. Meanwhile, this paper also has realized that the best way to eliminate the effects is the implementation of the ISM Code. Then, the author suggests some specific measures taken by the company in implementing the ISM Code.
