Chinese Students' Part-work And Part-study Movement In France And The Dissemination Of Socialism Thoughts In China

At the beginning of the 21st Century, the outstanding members of Chinese were trying hard lo explore a new way to save their motherland from the invadors' hands. The rising of Part-work and Part-study Movement to France provided a new stage and chance for the advance intellectuals lo lake part in the saving. The students gradually accepted socialism thoughts, studied them and disseminated them during the process of "working diligently and learning by leading thrifty life ". The socialism thoughts in France changed a number of Chinese advance youths, moreover, it affected the development of Chinese society by quicken the dissemination and practice of socialism in China. To study Chinese students' part-work and part-study movement and the dissemination of socialism thoughts in Chine is very important for us who must realize the history and reality correctly and firm our belief in socialism. In the present paper, the writer analysed and studied it in three parts:1 ,The attraction of socialism in France to Chinese advance intellectuals. They thought about the rapid development of Western capitalism and the declining of China in contrast since the 16th century. The appearance of part-work and part-study system gave a necessary condition to them to study in France. The Socialism thoughts in France had a long history. Utopian socialism born in the 18 century provide material and base for Mail's scientific socialism which became the guide for the struggle of the proletariat in France and the world. Because of the failure of capitalism in China, the Chinese people urgently need the scientific weapon, that is,scientific to help them shake off their two-halves social state and save the people in danger. Furthermore, the victory of Russia and the advantage of socialism made the people yearn for socialism system and hope to make sense of socialism thoughts.2, The students come back form France introduced and disseminated socialism to China. While they were accepting it, the students introduced what they studied about socialism to the people in country continually. They propagated the .historical materialism in scientific socialism, realized the revolutionary change of their view of life, view of value and view of the world. After interpreting the party theory of proletariat, they built their own party organization under the guiding of Maxism almost at the same time as those inside China. They introduced the proletariat dictatorship theory and its meaning; they point out the necessity, the nature, the form of proletariat dictatorship and the function of it; By fighting against the anti-socialism thoughts actively they smashed the deceit and attack of anarchism and nationalism; they helped a lot of people change their minds and thoughts.3, The movement's status and effect on the dissemination of socialism in China. The movement become the important medium for the socialism to disseminate on China. A number of Maxists who were dare to practice and develop the truth of socialism were born in the movement. Their perspective and methods to understand socialism maintained a potential factor which affected the Chinese understanding and realizing of socialism, therefore, there is a duality existed in the development of Chinese socialism thoughts. It possessed both advantage promote the development of society and the disadvantage to delay it to some degree.
