As a special social activity of the mankind, youth ideological-political education maintains its being and development with the particular values of itself. The values of youth ideological-political education, which are not permanent but historical and concrete, develop with the same pace of the development of the times, society and youth. Studying the values of youth ideological-political education and revealing the importance of relationships among the development of youth ideological-political education, social development and youth development are of great significance to deeply understanding the certainty and scientific property of the being and development of youth ideological-political education, to propelling the development of the theories and practices on youth ideological-political education.Considering the contemporary and present forms of youth ideological-political education, the thesis finds its theoretical foundation in the value theory of youth ideological-political education and' studies the value development of youth ideological-political education, with the logical thread of the development of youth ideological-political education and the development of youth itself running through the whole thesis, with a purpose of probing into the basic problems of the value development of youth. Applying the interdisciplinary theories of youth and youth ideological-political education, the thesis studies the value development of youth ideological-political education and expounds the reasons, the patterns, the realization of the value development of youth ideological-political education according to the practice logic that the development of youth ideological-political education runs parallel with the development of youth. The thesis consists of four parts as follows.The first part gives a brief account of the value development of youthideological-political education. In this part, we mainly probe into some basic notions, such as the value of youth ideological-political education and the value development of youth ideological-political education from a philosophical perspective, upon which we set forth the argument of the thesis, namely the value development of youth ideological-political education develops and lay down the foundation for the argument. Besides, this part gives an analysis of the theoretical and practical significance of the study on the value development of youth ideological-political education, which proves the necessity of the study.The second part studies the basis of the value development of youth ideological-political education. In this part, we mainly probe into the scientific basis of the value development of the youth ideological-political education from such three aspects as scientific theory, social reality and youth itself, which answers the basic question why the value of youth ideological-political education develops and functions as a link and transition for latter in-depth analysis.The third part studies the patterns of the value development of youth ideological-political education. From the angles of the value fields and value dimensions of the value of youth ideological-political education, this part deeply probes into the regularity of the value development of youth ideological-political education, thus to answer the question how the value of youth ideological-political education develops in practice.The fourth part studies the realization of the value development of youth ideological-political education. Based on the course of the value development of youth ideological-political education, this part probes into the realization of the value development of youth ideological-political education and makes a concrete analysis of its characteristics, stages, means and conditions. By this, this part answers the question how the value development of youth ideological-political education realizes in practice.
