On The Cultural Construction Leaded By The CCP In The Transitional Period

China was in a state of changing from the" old "society to the" new" society and from the New-Democratic society to Socialist society in the "Transitional Period" ( 1949-1956) . During the period, the CCP was confronted with two urgent tasks in the cultural field: one was to establish the directing role of Marxism in all ideological fields; the other was to transform the culture and education of the old society, so that they can adapt to and facilitate the political changing and social development.To adapt to and facilitate the changing of society, the CCP launched many kinds of cultural construction work, including transforming the ideology of the intellectual, proceeding critical campaign in the cultural field, reforming the culture and education of the old society and carrying out a campaign of mass-learning Marxism and so on. The directing role of Marxism was established through the mass-learning Marxism campaign and ultilizing Marxism to criticize all kinds of wrong opinions of politics and ideology. Through the transformation of the culture and education of the old society, schools were gradually transformed to be worker and peasant-oriented and became tools to cultivate talents for the PRC, and the social culture was transformed to serve the people and socialism.But because of the little experience of leading socialism, the leadship of the CCP mistakenly analyzed the situation and the general conditions of the country by idealism, there are also many errors in the cultural construction during the transitional period, and we can gainsome important enlightenments from it. Firstly, we must estimate and treat intellectual of our country correctly, and work out right policies and stick to them. Secondly, we must persist in the CCP's leadship in the cultural construction field, but meanwhile, the CCP's leadship must observe and reflect the cultural regularities. Thirdly, we must distinguish the academic problems from political problems and deal with them correctly. Fourthly, we must cast away the way of political campaign firmly, and bring the cultural construction into the track of law and system.
