Research On The Engagement And Motivation Mechanism Of The Risk Investment Project Manager

This thesis starts with discussing risk-investment manager's roles and the impacts on development and operation of the venture capital firm and risk investment industry, and also illuminating the significance of selecting and motivating the project manager in risk investmentI hope that I could offer some measures and bases for venture capital firms and governments of our country in making project manager's selecting and incentive policy, through rational illustration in aspects of project manager's selection or employment and motivation in risk investment projects.It has been proved that risk investment could promote the global high-tech industries swift and violent development. Though the development of the risk investment in China has gone through a long and winding course, the development is still in slow pace. Besides lacks of talents, perfect mechanism, government's supports, another, a main reason is the imperfect talent's management mechanism .In consideration of the importance of project managers, How to choose the qualified project manager and how to encourage them to arousing his enthusiasm, has became the most urgent problem to solve.Through illuminating project manager's power and duties of risk investment and analyzing the domestic and international requisitions and basic qualities of what the project manager should possess, this thesis summarize five basic abilities that a project manager should possess. And in line with the five basic ability and quality, on the basis of striving to make it scientific and rational, I design an evaluation index system for the project manager of risk investment. In view of the characteristic of the index system, I chose fuzzy comprehensive appraisal as appraising method, and improve it with introducing concept of "the trigonometry fuzzy numeral" with which we could appraise more information of the applicant and arrange results easier in order. This article also has a detail course to illuminating its application method. We all know the importance of how to employ the outstanding project manager. But even with the outstanding project manager, because of individual's nature characters of egoism, rational limits, risk shrinking, and different interests goals between the commission– agent, the project manager may take actions regardless of investors' interests, thus rise commission – agency problem. Because the cost of supervision is very high, and strict supervision and distrust may reduce the enthusiasm of executives' efforts, a set of rigorous and effective incentive mechanisms may get better results than strict supervision mechanism in arousing the enthusiasm of project manager of risk investment. With reasons above, how to motivate project manager became another research area of this thesis. Based on capital theory of manpower, this article has put forward four principles in establishing and perfecting project manager's incentive mechanism. With analyzing the existing incentive modes and current situation, I have put forward the reputation incentive mode based on Maslow's demand theory. Thorough elaborate description with theories of management and economics, it proved that reputation incentive could exist and be applied as a kind of incentive mode with abundant theories foundations.The thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is an introduction of the article, mainly introducing research background, research meaning, thought and method, structure and points of innovation of this thesis. Chapter two proceeded with development of risk investment industry; point out the important function of the risk investment industry and current situation in China. Through describing the important function on the project manager of risk investment, this chapter pointed out that the project manager have important influence on the development of both the venture capital firm and risk investment industry.
