The Modification Of Social Security Pension System In The Course Of Urbanization

Urbanization is the necessary result of the development of economy, so the level of the country' s urbanization should correspond to the development of one' s economy. However, because of the strict administration system on separating urban from rural for long term, the level of urbanization gets behind the development of economy in china. In the future, china has chosen urbanization as the most important strategy of development. For realizing this target, a perfect and moderate social security pension system is required. While the current system doesn' t correspond to the development of urbanization, we should modify it to play an important role in the course of urbanization.Focusing on the modification of the current system, this paper expounds the relationship of urbanization and social security pension system by applying the theory of urban economics, the method of analyzing institution and history. Then taking the situation of urbanization and the current system in Zhejiang province as an example, the paper analyzes whether the current system corresponds to urbanization by mainly applying the method of actuarial analysis. Based on these detailed analysis, how to modify the current system in the course of urbanization is suggested. Meanwhile by comparing the typical pension system of other countries, the paper puts forward our target system in the future.
