At the same time the strategic management theory was introduced into china recently, and rarity manger use the strategic management theory to manage their enterprise.During the Auto industry's development in the past 50 years, the complications are more than the resplendencies as soon as the lessons are more than the experiences. Take a macro-view stand, the most important reason is our carrying out the planned economy system; on the other side, if we take a micro-view stand, in spite of the differences reasons result in successful enterprise or failing enterprise, the most primarily reason is whether an enterprise choose a suitable strategy. The Auto industry has become our country's pillar industry same as our country's important strategic industry after some years high speed increase, especially due to the "blowout" car market in 2002, many experts consider the 2002 as " the first year" of the car come into Chinese family, so that, it's very meaningful and necessary to research the china car industry; Now, the car produced by the joint venture takes up about 90% share during the car subdivision market, therefore it's necessary to research those joint ventures when we study that car maker in China. This article try to go deep into the famous joint venture DONGFENG PEUGEOT CITROEN AOTUMOBILE COMPANY LTD's (DPCA) ten years history and analyze the company's gain and loss in stratagem deeply; According to Michael E.Porter's competitive strategic theory, in hope of discuss the car joint venture's strategic management question by embedded analyze the Chinese car joint venture's external market environment and various perplexities existing in those joint ventures.
