Mao Zedong's Seeking On Economic Development Strategy Of Socialism

Mao Zedong had carried out the valuable seeking on the economic development strategy of socialism in his great practice of leading China's people to develop economic construction of socialism and he obtained abundant and valued achievements in ideology theory. In which, the thoughts of economic development strategy are full of originality and correct through practice proving, have played universal and long-term guiding effect on our country's socialistic economic construction.Mao's seeking on economic development strategy of socialism was started from the tune before founding the PRC to the Great Cultural Revolution. It approximately went through three stages of labyrinthian processes for about 30 years, i.e. embryonic stage, tentative forming stage and tortuous development stage, which was ultimately formed a whole strategic system of economic development.Mao's thoughts of economic development strategy revealed that the power of socialistic economic development was movements of basic contradictory of socialistic society. It contained establishment of strategic objectives and approaches on achievement of "four modernizations" through "two stepping programs" and chose strategic emphases of giving priority to the development of heavy industry and coordinating development of agriculture, light industry and heavy industry. It also formulated a series of strategic principles of instructing economic development and put forward whole set of strategic measures for promoting economy.Mao's strategy of socialistic economic development not only carried out innovation in the pattern of social economic development strategy, but alsoinstructed our socialistic modernization building to gain great achievements. His experiences from negative and positive aspects were referenced for Deng Xiaoping's development strategic. But for limitations of historical periods, Mao Zedong did not realize what is socialism and how to build it completely and he had wrong understanding on basic situation of our country, plus his mood of proud and conceit was increasing, he fell away with ideological line of being realistic and truthful gradually and thus he made serious faultiness in the seeking of socialistic economic development strategy which let our national economy suffered from great loss.No one is perfect just as no gold is one hundred percent pure. We should not so exact him by modern standards.
