On The Early Development Of Chinese---funded Bank(1897--1927)

The first bank of China was born in shanghai in 1897, so the development history of Chinese-funded bank began in this year . According to the institution economy, the development history of Chinese-funded bank , maybe divided into two periods , the period from 1897 to 1927 was the first phrase ; the period from 1928 to 1949 was its second phrase . In the first phrase , the power of Chinese central government wasn't strong . Moreover, the local strength was stronger and stronger , which brought about the fact that China couldn't set up modern financial system though the Chinese-funded bank had developed for 30 years .In 1928, National government unified China and made the local strength under its control, which made a valuable contribution to reform the financial system .In the 1930s, the National government carried out a series of compulsory financial reform, which led to a new road of Chinese-funded bank.The chief contents of the article are as follows: Firstly,on birth of historical condition of Chinese capital bank; Secondly, the outlook of Chinese-funded bank from 1897 to 1927; Thirdly,foreign-funded bank, Chinese-funded bank,and Qianzhuang and their correlation;Forthly,the basic characteristics of the early Chinese-funded bank ; Finally,on its historic status.Economic history is an inter-discipline between History and Economics, so its research ways not only have history research methods but also include economic research ways. In my article, the main research methods are the followings: the analogy research, proving truth and false, and counting etc. As far as the theory used in my article are concerned, I apply the traditional history theory to explore some concrete and trivial things of the early development of the Chinese-funded bank ; the research ways of new economic history which have been prevelant in western economic theory and financial theory should be involved.Finance plays a very important role in the society.as a result ,many scholars have paid attention to the research of the early development of Chinese-funded bank.there have been many recognitive achievements and answered a series of theoretical questions.The article is based on the fact that the author grasp most of contents of books and articles in the scope.It answers some questions which the scholars did not pay attention to.Of course,there are some arguments which need to be proved in future.So the anthor hope the scholars can correct them.
