From ERP To AMES--Expounding The Implementation Of CSWA's AMES

Airvraft Maintenance&Engineering System (abbreviate it to AMES) is the Management information system faced to Airlines Maintenance &Engineering department. CSWA's AMES is a large project in China Southwest Airlines.It was imported from a ERP aviaition product -MOVEX Aviation developed by a Sweden software company named Intentia. The system is being implemented and used in maintenance business department of CSWA.Being the manager of the project, the author has taken part in and organized all the activities of project stages .This thesis is based on the project and emphasis on how to establish a maintenance and engineering system adapt to CSWA by reorganizing the business of CSWA'S maintenance and engineering department according to a standard ERP product.First of all the thesis analyses the present IT situation and the target in business department,then the thesis summarizes the basic theory of ERP and how we decide the proposal.The thesis emphasis the implement of MOVEX, including business reorganize, implement phase and key-point of technical, describe how to resolve the major problem in progress. Finally, it generalizes the benefit bringing about to business department after running AMES.This is the first time to implement a ERP system in maintenance&engineering area in domestic airlines . The experience described in this thesis will be referenced by other airlines .
