The researchers' elementary concepts and opinions on Power Theory before Morgenthau are the abundant backgrounds of the Morgenthauian Power Theory, which, founded On the basis of criticizing and absorbing the pro-researchers'fruits, has special innovations. Power and interest are the most basic concepts of the theory. The parses of the power in the international politics and the interest defined by power made the conceptual base of his theory; philosophy is the most profound sources of all the knowledge, the interpretation about the "ill-nature theory", balance of power and sovereign states as the most important international behavioral bodies made the philosophical base. The studies about the independence, research methods and the essence of the international politics field and the studies about the conflicts between nations and the ways to international peace are the main contents and also the core of Morgenthauian Power Theory. The theory has far-reaching influences on the evolution of the international relations theories, Kenneth N·Waltz established neorealism on the base of criticizing and inheriting it and Robert O·Keohane and Joseph S·Nyes'neoliberalism.The material structure design of this article is as follows: The first part is introduction: including the reasons of choosing the article topic, research object, methodology and the data collection, in addition to, research paths and the order and review of the former fruits were also talked about. By means of summarizing the classical realism and its Power theory, the second part, which is the first chapter of the article, reviews the rising backgrounds, theory source and the typical representatives of the classical realism, meanwhile, analyzes the main opinions of the Power theory fundamentally. The third part, defines the concept, power, including its definition, applicable range and the importance in the international politics research; studies the relations between power and interest, clears its influences on nation's foreign actions and contesting for international power, further displays the vitality of morgenthauian power definiton. The part is the second chapter of this article. The fourth part, is the main body of the article, involves the third and the fourth chapter. Form the angle of the "ill-nature theory", balance of power strategy and sovereign states as the most important international behavioral bodies, the article discusses the philosophical bases of morgenthauian Power theory; from the angle of competing for international power, power structure in the world society and the essence of maintaining peace, the article shows the chief contents of the theory.The fifth part is the last proportion of the article, which mainly analyzes the conditions of criticizing, succeeding and developing morgenthauian theory from the questions and criticisms of neorealism and neoliberalism and other mainstream international theories, meanwhile, concerning with the research status quo of international relations, explores the morgenthauian theory influences on developing and innovating international relations theories after it.
