Corporate charitable giving is a main part of corporate social responsibility. Presently corporate giving has new developing trends. Corporate giving programs can not only create social benefits but also brings back many economic interests to the company. Therefore, many companies, especially multinational companies, regard corporate giving as business administration and are pursuing an administrative model that can create both social and economic benefits for corporate giving programs. Most of Chinese companies, however, pay little attention to corporate giving.Present studies on corporate philanthropy are almost focused on theoretical research and few on the administration of giving activities. According to the writer's investigation and research, no one has ever applied project management methods to the administration of corporate giving programs. This paper, therefore, is exploratory and innovative.This treatise summarizes studies on corporate philanthropy and giving both home and abroad and selects project management theories as research theoretical base. In addition, the writer designs an investigation survey to enrich research. After discussion of necessity and feasibility of applying project management to Chinese enterprises, this treatise also provides the framework, namely, major items, procedure, operating principles, and operating techniques.
