Topic: Research on the behavior of farmers in decision making in the process of the agricultural industrialization. Author: Xie Cheng-lin. Specialty: Field of Planting. Research Program: Development of Rural Area. College: College of Humanities and Development. Supervisor: Vice-Professor Zhou Xue-junTo accelerate strategic adjustment of agricultural structure, breed and develop dominant and leading industry, adapt the requirement of new conditions of entering into WTO, promote the agricultural industrialization management vigorously, improve comprehensive abilities of cereal production, enhance the competitive ability of primary products and increase farmers' income, solve the contradiction between the small production of thousands of farmers and huge changing market, explore new organization forms and product and sale systems of agricultural industrialization management in our country, the impact factors, decision mechanisms and feedbacks from different population participated in the "firm + farmer" product and sale pattern (FFPSP) were systematically analyzed with the main organization form FFPSP in rice industrialization as a sample and adopting the method of participatory farmer research. According to the research results, relative suggestions of perfecting FFPSP and innovating organization forms of agriculture production were put forward Investigation and research showed: Yangzhou has advantaged qualifications to develop quality rice industrialization. There were many factors influencing rice farmers' decision on production and management, and the main one was economic benefits and state policies. The anticipatory effects of different type of rice farmers participated in the FFPSP were also different. The professional rice farmers tended to aim at the maximum margin. What they consider first is the stable and higher profit. They took part in FFPSP positively and decide quickly. They pertained to the type of "benefit priority". The average rice farmers tended to aim at low risks and relatively stable benefit. What they think first is the stable sale approaches. They are affected by traditional custom and are more conservative. Only after they saw other farmers have got profits, will they participate in it. So they pertained to the type of "going with the stream". FFPSP also has a disadvantage because it is difficult to restrict the opportunistic activities, so the phenomena of felling back happen frequently. Thus, to perfect FFPSP, assurance systems of risk funds must be established based on both honesty and responsibility. The professional rice farmers are much more honest. It is still suitable to adopt FFPSP, and the product and sale pattern of "firm + cooperation organization + farmer" is more suitable for the mass average rice farmers. Thus, it is incumbent on the government to support and develop the cooperation agencies.
