OBJECTIVE: 1.To investigate the mental health status, personality and interpersonal trust degree of the cadets, and to provide the foundation for the establishing of psychological intervene model. 2.To study the effect of psychological behavior training on the mental health status and emotion controlling ability of cadets.METHODS: 1 In research one, 78 cadets from a military academy were chosen randomly and were investigated by using Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90), The Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Interpersonal Trust Scale(ITS). Their average age was 19.90 ± 0.76 years old. A descriptive research on cadet's mental health status, personality and interpersonal trust degree were implemented. 2 78 cadets were divided into three groups which were named experimental 1 group (n=26), experimental 2 group (n=26), control group (n=26). Before taking part in psychology behavior training, all the cadets were asked to train named "climbing the peaks and crossing over thrill". During the training course the average rhythm of the heart, the average rhythm of breath and supreme body surface temperature were measured. Then the experimental group 1 took part in the training named rush bravely natural moat every other day, they were trained for five times without receiving any psychological intervene. The experimental group 2 took part in the psychology behavior training five times in ten days, After every training they accepted the collective psychological accommodate for 90 minutes. All the subjects repeated the task and measure again after psychological intervening. Changes of the average rhythm of the heart, the average rhythm of breath and the supreme body surface temperature were compared during the three groups.RESULTS: 1.In research one, comparing with the Chinese military norm groups of SCL-90, the scores of the subjects were significantly higher on obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, anxiety, paranoid ideation, hostility, psychoticism (P< 0.05); The scores of the EPQ-N and EPQ-Lof the subjects were significantly higher than that of the cadet norm groups (P<0.05). The mental health condition of all the subjects was significantly correlated with the personality of them. 2.In research two, (1) before the intervention of psychology behavior training, there were no significant difference during the three groups in the average rhythm of the heart, the average rhythm of breath, supreme body surface temperature while they took part in the psychology behavior training which were named climbing the peaks and crossing over thrill. (2). After psychological intervening, average respiratory rate and average rhythm of the heart of the experimental group 1 rose up than before, average respiratory rate and average rhythm of the heart of experimental group 2 receded than before, the control group's average respiratory rate, average rhythm of the heart didn't change remarkably, and there were significant difference during the three groups.CONCLUSIONS: 1.The mental health status of the student of military academy was lower than the Chinese military personnel norm group, the positive symptoms were obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, anxiety, paranoid ideation, hostility, psychotism. The result of EPQ test showed the emotion controlling of cadets was relatively bad. 2.Psychology behavior training could improve effectively the mental health degree and the psychology quality in emotion controlling of cadets.
