Study On Competitiveness Of Securities Firms In China

With the change of the market environment, and the development of the industrial policy, the securities firms are entering a meagre profit era. In China, security market is in downturn, and securities business is trying to open to the outside world in recent years. Under the special condition, the securities firms of our country face severe challenge of economic viability. How to analyze and appraise the competitiveness of securities firms of our country objectively, and how to lead them to seize the opportunity and fully improve their strength to tackle the challenge, are urgent problems to be solved.Proceeding with the venation of the competitiveness theory, this paper explained that the theoretical foundation of the competitiveness of securities firms - enterprise's competitiveness theory, and proposes the definition of enterprise's competitiveness, factor influencing enterprise's competitiveness. And then the international and domestic environments of the securities firms were analyzed. Utilizing Michael Potter's model of industry's competition structure was used for analyzing the industrial structure and environment of the securities business. Furthermore the current situation of competitiveness of securities firms were analyzed from seven aspects of management ability, professional ability, profit ability, risk control ability, corporate culture, human resources and development, and the company managing. The competitiveness evaluation index system of securities firms and the appraise method are structured and investigated with real examples. It is in favor of understanding accurately the total level of securities firms and the forming of trade localization of individual company. According to a large number of data and charts, the difference between Chinese and foreign securities firms was analyzed. And it waspointed out that the deficiency of the securities firms of our country compared with foreign ones, and also its system origin. Finally, for the problems of that the competitiveness of securities firms of our country, this text proposed promoting countermeasures respectively in terms of government and enterprise: the government should relax the regulations about securities firms, resume the qualification of them as the innovative subject, strengthen the supervision of the securities firms, promote the independent management of the trades, and perfect the withdrawal mechanism of the securities firms. The securities firms should innovation in all aspect, including management, organization, business, etc.The results of the thesis are expected to be beneficial to the development of the securities firms of our country.
