Economics regards the man in the social economic activities as the starting-point and destination of its study,so when we are studying Economics,we should fully respect the subjectivity of man and undersdent human's motives,abilities,behavious,and complicate relationship among people.It seems that the economists are more interested in and devoted to ethical problems.From Adam.Smith to Amatia.sen,during the period of more then 200 years,economists never stop the study of it.In 1970s,in the controversy about the resconstrution of the basics of economics,the ethical problems of economic man attracted people's attention again.Many economists rethought the ethical problems of economics,reinspected the ethical value of the study on economics,especially after Daniel.Kehneman and Veronol.Smith won the Noble prize for economics.In this paper,it reviews the history of Hypothesis of Economic Man which is the basic view of weastern mainstream economic and the criticisms it received.lt is thought that the Hypothesis of Economic Man of Adam.Smith is natural and rational in some ways.But the ensuing weastern mainstream economic advocate a land of schirophrecic life,which narrows the thoughts of Smithabout human's behavious and cause the main deficiencies of contemporary economic theory.However ,Chinese also have obstacles in understanding economic man ,so "Non ethical economics" and "ethical economics"appear,which have their own deficiencies.Actually,Ultimate concern of Economics is the overall development of man and society.In our country,we are trying to perfect the socialist market-economy systerm,if can not understand these theories clearly,we'll develop it in wrong way.So how to strengthen the ethical constructions of "economic man" in our country's socialist market-economy also is a main point we should pay attention to.
