The right choice of market economy system provides common language for China to communicate with international society. And the entry into WTO requires that China shall deal in economic and trading issues with foreign counterparts in accordance with the rules and regulations by WTO, symbolizes that China is being accepted, and merged with international society, and means China is on the way towards a rapid development of modernization.In the course of Chinese modernization, however, we should keep in mind that, as the biggest developing nation, China is faced with more difficulties, such as the conventional obstructs, the unbalance in economy, politics, society and culture among different areas and social classes. The accumulation and interaction of those unbalances make the development of Chinese modernization rather tortuous. So, it's very important to study the tortuous development by means of the evolution of Chinese traditional culture in social life, which enables a real and comprehensive understanding of Chinese conditions and the trend of global development.To achieve a smoothly development of Chinese modernization much research should be undertaken, including innovation in theory, innovation in system, and sudden change in some certain period, in which lies the significance for the research on the tortuousness of Chinese modernization.
