Regional Power's Integration And Enhancement

In the 50's to the Medium-term of the 70's in 20th century ,is a period of instability in Southeast Asia. During this period, the US-led of Western Hegemonic power, which used the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO)as a tool to interfere the affairs of Southeast Asia. Under this situation, the Regionalism in Southeast Asia through the process of germinated and developmented,which ultimately prompted the establishment of ASEAN. From SEATO to the ASEAN, the Regional power of Southeast Asia had experienced the process of power integration and enhancement which Western hegemony relatived decline from the strong and Regionalism in the region from scratch. And this article use the method of historicism to sort out the process of the formation and development of SEATO and the Regionalism in Southeast Asia. By the main line of SEATO's rise and fall, and the course of Regionalism in Southeast Asia, in the background of the Cold War. It's mainly to probe the process and reasons of Western hegemonic power in the region to relative decline from heyday and the influence in produced and developed of Regionalism in Southeast Asia. By the process of regional power's integration to study the development of historical of Regionalism in Southeast Asia and the history of the Southeast Asian countries achieved independent diplomacy from dependent power.
