Ideological and Political Education has traditionally been emphasized by Communist Party of China, which has also been a political advantage and played an important role in achieving success in China's revolution and construction. Thirty years since China's establishment of reform and opening-up policy, with the advance of our socialist modernization, we have made marked achievements in the fields of politics, economy and culture. All these achievements are based not only on the development and increasing research and innovation of the fine traditions of Ideological and Political Education but also on the new concept of promoting economic construction via the construction of a spiritual civilization. It is of great theoretical and realistic significance to review and reflect the development process of the Party's Ideological and Political Education since the reform and opening-up by our Party's Three-Generation-Leading Groups, find the existing problems, and do research in the supplement, perfection and innovation of theories of Ideological and Political Education, esp. the socialist Ideological and Political Education with Chinese characteristics.Directed with scientific methods from Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory, this thesis views from Scientific Outlook on Development and utilizing the dialectical materialism and the historical materialism analysis and analyzes the development process of the Chinese Communist Party's Ideological and Political Education since the reform and opening-up. Meanwhile, we review the present research and existing problems of the Party's Ideological and Political Education; emphasize the main theories of Ideological and Political Education during the Party's v arious historical periods. Furthermore, the contributions to the development of Ideological and Political Education by our Party's Three-Generation-Leading Groups are also greatly stressed.. Based on the analysis of the Development Laws and features of Ideological and Political Education since the reform and opening-up, this thesis summarizes and makes positive exploration into the realistic significance and inspiration of the basic development experience of the Ideological and Political Education gained from our realistic work. This thesis consists of four parts.Part one focuses on the research and exploration into the Ideological and Political Education conducted by the second generation of central collective leadership led by Deng Xiaoping since the reform and opening-up. In this part, we analyze Deng's theoretical basis, principles and content and methodology related to Ideological and Political Education. Deng Xiaoping Theory of Ideological and Political Education has played an important leading role when the Party faces and studying new situations, adapts to new circumstances and fulfills new missions. Meanwhile, his theory has contributed enormously to the development and enrichment of the Party's Ideological and Political Education.Part two is mainly to study the contributions made by Jiang Zemin to theories of Ideological and Political Education. We analyze the content and features of his theories and his inheritance and development of Ideological and Political Education. Facing the disintegration of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe upheaval, central collective leadership led by Jiang Zemin summarized the historical experience and drew lessons, and they held firm to the Party's tradition of Ideological and Political Education, stuck to the Party's principles, and always viewed the Ideological and Political Education as the chief mission of the Party. Furthermore, they made new exploration into the theories of Ideological and Political Education. Due to his research, the Party developed overall, and contributed greatly to the development and enrichment of the Party's Ideological and Political Education theories.In part three, we analyze the innovation and development made by Hu Jintao and his central collective leadership to the Party's Ideological and Political Education, including his innovation as to the guiding ideology , theoretical principles, main content and practical methodology of the Party's Ideological and Political Education. Hu has always emphasized the Party's Ideological and Political Education, insisting on guiding the work of Ideological and Political Education with the latest theoretic outcome of Chinese-style Marxism. Taking the socialist value system as the core of the Party's Ideological and Political Education, he has put forward a people-oriented educational concept, created new principles and methodology, and promoted the status and function of Ideological and Political Education. Therefore, he has greatly pushed forward the Ideological and Political Education to a new stage.In part four, after making systematic summary and analysis, we, from six aspects, summarizes the party's experience which interprets the development of the theories of Ideological and Political Education since the reform and opening-up.(1)We should always direct Ideological and Political Education with scientific methods from Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory. (2)Ideological and Political Education must serve the central missions in different periods of the development(.3)Ideological and Political Education must develop with the development of practice.(4)System guarantee is essential for the development of Ideological and Political Education(5)Ideological and Political Education must combine social demand with people's value concept.(6)Methods of Ideological and Political Education should be stably retrofitted to maintain its life-force and impel-force. All the achievements we have gained since the reform and opening-up are due to the correct leadership under Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory. The party has actively carried out scientific outlook on development, carried forward good tradition of hard struggle and has eventually achieved what we have today. It's obviously proved that only if we insist on the enhancement of Ideological and Political Education and the construction of a spiritual civilization, can we achieve the final success in the great construction cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
