The purpose of interrogation is to allow criminal suspects who do not want to or make false statements to make the truthful confessions. The key of interrogation is to change the attitude of the suspects and eliminate the psychological obstacle for the suspect so as to help the formation of confession motive and eventually to reach a confession voluntarily and truthfully.In order to improve the interrogation efficiency in investigation of job-related crimes, this thesis sums up the basic steps and general methods in the psychological control of suspects in the course of an interrogation by referring to the psychological method of the nine-step interrogation method as well as practical experience. This thesis consists of three parts.The first part summarizes the characteristics and the way of thinking required in the interrogation of suspects in job-related crimes. The summarizing such characteristics helps to consolidate the conceptual knowledge of interrogation in such crimes, making a better command of psychological control method in the interrogation of job-related crimes. Way of thinking is the premise and basis in conducting an interrogation and carrying out psychological control over the suspects which provides the interrogators with certain ways and means to solve the problems arising during such interrogation.The second part introduces the principles that should be abided by during the interrogation of suspects of job-related crimes. In the use of psychological knowledge in such crime interrogation, the relationship between the scientific value and legal value of psychology should be properly handled, and the principles of legality and avoidance of mental impairment should be complied with and so are the norms of truthful representation and being within the law and reasonable limits without intriguing any ethical controversies.The third part describes the basic steps in psychological control in interrogating suspects of job-related crimes. The author first introduces the basic steps of the nine-step interrogation method and gives comments by analyzing the characteristics and major strategies of the nine-step interrogation method, criticizing the disadvantages of the psychological coercion method, as well as discussing the ethical issues involved in the nine-step interrogation method. This part also summarizes the basic steps of psychological control, from cutting into the topics to the establishment of reliable and amicable relationship between the interrogator and the suspects, from setting up the interrogator's authority to the evaluation and analysis of the suspects, from direct charge against the suspects to the success to change the suspects attitude, this thesis gives an analysis of the general process of psychological control in interrogation.
