Research On The "Trial By Mass Media" In Chinese Context

Consensus supervision of the news media played an increasingly important role in the judicial activities, which make an outstanding performance in judicial corruption and judicial unfairness containment. At the same time, some negative influences of the interactions between press freedom and judicial independence appeared . The most prominent manifestation is on the problem present and controversy of " trial by mass media ". Although the scholars have different views on the " trial by mass media ", but the phenomenon that media intervene judicature does exist, its opinion pressure also has some influences on the judicial authority. But the possible disputes on the " trial by mass media " can't be the reason for refusal of judicial supervision of the media. How to expand the positive effect of consensus supervision, to eliminate the negative impact of "media trial", is the crux of the conception in this paper .
