The Villagers'Self-governance as an important practice in the form of grassroots democracy plays an important role in promoting social harmony in rural areas, thus achieving a harmonious society construction. The Villagers'Self-governance and Harmonious Society being conjunction spot. The Villagers'Self-governance may lay the reliable political foundation, create a good social environment, provide a strong internal motivation and accumulated abundant political experience for Harmonious Society. However, with the further development of Villagers'Self-governance, there appear some restraints such as the relationship between township government and village party committee is not smooth, the village party branch and village party committee is disharmony, the villagers lack of public participation and the degree of rural social organization is not high hinder the development of Villagers'Self-governance. Therefore, only through the improvement of rural political structure to achieve the coordination of the township government and village party committee; institutionalized system of decentralized cooperation to establish a harmonious relationship between the two committees; improve the village's public participation to promote further development of Villagers'Self-governance, and fostering rural social self-ruling organization to consolidate the social basis of Villagers'Self-governance. Only in this way can promote the healthy development of Villagers'Self-governance and ensure Harmonious Society to achieve major strategic objectives.Thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is the theoretical analysis between the Villagers'Self-governance and Harmonious Society. The Villagers'Self-governance is a grass-roots democratic management system that rural residents through self-ruling organizations, in the form of democratic election, democratic decision-making, democratic management and democratic supervision ,participate in the management of public affairs in rural areas so as to better exercise their rights to achieve self-management, self-education and self-service. In the context of Harmonious Society, the Villagers'Self-governance should be the democratic self-ruling, legal self-ruling, participant self-ruling and other features.The second part is the internal relation between the Villagers'Self-governance and Harmonious Society .On one hand, the conjunction spot appears that they have common concept support, common source of power, common system security and common political premise.
