The Multiplex Dispute Resolution is the presence of a variety of dispute resolution methods in society, they co-exist and coordinated develop with their specific functions and effects, which constitutes the main body to meet the diverse needs of community dispute resolution mechanism. Present stage of the background of constructing a harmonious society, economic, democracy, rule of law continues to be developed, while China is still in the transformation of the society, social life is bound to be a variety of conflicts and disputes, which requires methods of dispute resolution is also a multi-oriented. Based on the status of the Multiplex Dispute Resolution, the specific descriptions and analysis of their shortcomings pointed out in foreign countries through the overviews and evaluations of ADR could draw the inspiration and reference to China, combined with China's specific national conditions improve the Chinese Multiplex Dispute Resolution. This paper is divided into three parts, about 16,000 words.The first part describes the development of foreign ADR, ADR classification and several common types and their own unique advantages in many countries and the important role which have been played in the dispute resolution.The second part of the introduction of the Multiplex Dispute Resolution in China, elaborated on mediation, civil mediation, administrative mediation and arbitration status of its shortcomings, through the lack of discussion of the Dispute in affirming our existing Settlement mechanism which pointed out that the areas for improvement to look forward to better development.The third part, through an overview and evaluation of foreign ADR, can be summed up their successful experience for our Multiplex Dispute Resolution, the feasibility of the specific recommendations made to improve the Multiplex Dispute Resolution.
