Legal tradition is the heritage inherited from the past to the present, and still play a role in the national spirit of the law and legal culture. As an indispensable component of traditional culture, it has a deep social basis,and embodies in folk's awareness of the law, psychology,habits,behavior and the course of life folk. Therefore, it affects the present rule of law in all aspects of society,even restrict the Chinese rule of law in the future. So, we only have a deep understanding of the traditional legal culture and absorb the essence of traditional legal culture, it may work out the actual situation for the nation's legal system. It has a great significance for Chinese rule of law.Mozi represents the interest of small-sized producers in the Spring and Autumn period.So the legal thought of Mozi is very distinctive. This article attempts from the law chemistry angle, in the analysis of the legal ideology of Mozi historical background, theoretical basis of origin, introduced Mozi's theory of legal primary coverage and the historical situation, then show the the modern value of Mozii's theory of legal thout.The paper divides into four parts. The first part, analyzes the production of Mozi'legal thought ,introduces Mozi'experience and investigates legal thought of Mozi background of the times and its theoretical origin. The second part , introduces Mozi's theory of legal science content,The third part , evaluates the legal thout of Mozi, Summarizes the theoretical contributions to legal thought , also pointeds out that the limitations and outlines its impact on later thinking. The fourth part , has analyzed Mozi's legal thout to the Contemporary China government by law construction value.
