With the command information systems in modern warfare's growing status, the assessment of systems' performance has become increasingly important. To conduct command information system performance, it is not only significant to full the theory of the command information systems, but also beneficial to identify the position and role of the systems in the war, and to find against the effectiveness of factors. The command information systems can provide the scientific basis to enhance its efficiency.In this paper, as the artillery brigade command information system for study, based on high-tech information warfare, combined with actual combat training unit situation, the artillery brigade against the current status of information technology, the artillery brigade command information system performance evaluation basic principles were put forward. Some exploring was done on the artillery brigade command information system effectiveness evaluation method. The requirements of the artillery brigade command information system in modern war were analyzed, using analytical hierarchy process to establish evaluation index system and giving the indicators in detail. For the complexity and the uncertainty of the artillery brigade command information system, the cloud model was brought forward, supplemented by a comprehensive AHP evaluation method to assess the effectiveness of the system. Finally, an example has given to verify the feasibility of this method.Cloud to cloud model-based evaluation method on the command center of the performance evaluation of information systems is only preliminary, but it can be completed for the artillery operations command information systems to provide timely performance assessment tasks for the day live training exercises and command information system comprehensive performance assessment. This method for the artillery brigade command and information system performance evaluation provides a new way of method.
