To market competition, trade associations are a two-edged sword. They have two kind of effects. One is active, the other is negative. It is a challenge for the Antitrust Law to face this condition. It is obvious that the Antitrust Law cannot forbid the exitence of trade associations. The only what it can do is to regulate the behavior of trade associations. There are two problems for me to solve in this article. They are why and how the Antitrust Law to regulate trade associations when they restrict market competition. The behavior restricting market competition which is done by trade associations is an exist and it has its own characteristics. So the Antitrust Law should regulate it. But because of the differences in legislation tradition, the regulations in different countries are not same. So I analysize the legislations of America,Japan and EC. I think the Japanese legislation is most detailed and definite. I think that the Antitrust Law in our country could learn from the Japanese legislation. In the last of this article, it is my advice that how to regulate the behavior restricting market competition which is done by trade associations in the Antitrust Law in our country. The trade associations in our country are different from the trade associations in other countries. Most of them come from some administrations. Their idea has not changed. So the behavior restricting market competition which is done by them has some administrative characteristics. So it is not enough to regulate the behavior just by the Antitrust Law. The reform of administrative and economic system is necessary.
