An Analysis Of The Governance In European Integration

In the background of globalization, regional integration has been seen as a new developing form of world economy. In the researches on international politics, it is very necessary to correctly understand the promising international connection form with distinguishing features. As the most successful example of integration, European Union represents the top level of regional integration in the world. Being a great research and practice activity with the most profound impact since the beginning of nation-state, European integration has gradually created a new order of economy, society and politics, and also spurs the emergence of a new international community. In the framework, integration has changed the structure and function of traditional force and role. So to analyze European integration and its mechanism will be good to enhance the comprehension on integration.At present, our country is witnessing an increase in the study of integration. It focuses on several fields as empirical analysis of European integration history, comparative study of integration theory, research on the different mechanisms of European integration.From angle of reality, this paper points out that European integration is a Multi-Level Governance through probing into integration mechanism in the background of globalization.The first part is about governance theories. This part briefly explains why the governance theory springs up, and mainly clarifies the economic globalization's influence on governance. It challenges traditional nation-state, state sovereignty and political decision which impels political management mode to develop into governance. Therefore, it is essential to discriminate the relations of governance and government, governance and regionalization.The second part is an analysis of EU governance. First of all, it generalizes three explanations of European integration mechanism, and indicates that governance theory interprets European integration with less focus on power than the above ones.
