The relationship between financial development and economic growth is of policy guiding function to financial and economic developments of our country at present, but all researches can only probe the relationship between them from different sides, this is why the study is continuing and being deepened constantly. This paper uses different indexes of Chinese financial development and economic growth since reform and opening-up as the samples, adopts the spectrum analysis method to prove the relationship between financial development and economic growth , and compares the results from this method with the results getting from Grainger causality analysis. At the end of the paper, according to the results of the research we put forward the policy suggestions on the present financial development of our country to bring about better economic advance.Basing on this thought, this paper is composed of six parts. Summarized as following:The first part is introduction, in this part the paper explains the background of the selecting title, research purpose, meanings, and puts forward the thought and methods of this paper.The second part is literature discussion. It reviews the relevant research documents in our country and other countries and analyzes the relationship between financial development and economic growth theoretically. Then it analyzes the influencing factors in economic growth.The third part introduces the spectrum analysis method and the cross spectrum analysis method briefly.The fourth part mainly carries on the empirical research to the relationship between Chinese financial development and economic growth.
