There are about 1,300,000,000 populations on the 9,600,000 square kilometers land of our country. The superfluous population density and the limited land as well as the characteristic of non-renewable of the land have made it the only way to take full advantage of each inch of land for our country's development. However, along with the development of the city's infrastructure construction and the acceleration of urbanization, now there are still many old houses in many cities. They have become the obstacles of the city's development and the land occupied by them can not maximize it's benefit, which have violated the principle of the highest and the best use. Therefore, it is the inevitable requirement of city's social, economical and cultural development to rebuild the city's old districts. Recently, with the city's rebuilding growing more and more important, the circumstance of demolishing old houses and building more new houses has spread all over the country. In the city construction project, there are more and more houses to be concerned with demolition, and people now begin to pay attention to the demolition of the house. As the pre-construction work of removal, house removal evaluation directly concerns the economic benefits between the remover and household, and also directly affects whether the project can proceed successfully according to the schedule. Therefore, making removal evaluation well is beneficial for both social steady and economic development.This paper has firstly summarized some transforms which urban house removal had gone through in the economy system reformation. Through the contrast for some transforms, compensation policy method and standard, the paper analyses the progress of the compensation about urban house removal under the market economic system. And on the basis of the analyses, this paper introduces the market feature and compensation feature of urban house removal, the basic principle to comply with, and the mode of removing compensation made by " new urban house removal manage regulation " in details, i.e. the current compensation and property right exchange. In the removing compensation of urban house, the property right of house has Chinese characteristics and is hard to deal with. Different property right relations apply different compensation measure of urban house.
