For a long time, technology has always been the key factor, which restricts economy growth and improvement on international competition power for developing countries. To a certain extent, the problem of economy development in developing countries is mainly the problem of how to accelerate technology advancement and realize technology leapfrogging. Under the current economic conditions, developing countries have no enough resources to devote to R&D by themselves, so it is a good choice to resort to the outside technology resources from multinational corporations who control much advanced technology.Although multinational corporations will transfer technology to developing countries on behalf of their own interests, and not take requirements of developing countries into account. But the interact between both sides is not a zero-sum game. If the developing countries make better use of their localization advantages and adopt suitable technology development pattern, they can maximize their technology benefits on the premise of meeting the multinational corporations' interests. This is a kind of win-win result.This paper is divided into three parts as follows: The first part concentrated on the paths, characters and influence factors of technology transfer and the new trends and reasons these years; The second part concentrated on measurement of technology transfer and overflow, and then made a case analyzing on the automobile industry, and finally made comments on results of the policy of using market share to exchange technology; The third part summarized the pattern of foreign investment oriented technology advancement, and probe into mechanism of assimilation and absorption towards technology introduction, and finally bring forward policy suggestions.
