| The bill of lading carrier is a new legal concept and its legal position is different from other traditional carrier. Up to now, there is no term therewith bill of lading carrier concerned in Chinese Maritime Code .No one study on it deeply and grasp accurate, so quite a number of problems from practice unable to be resolved. With this phenomenon more and more prevalent, request of sound the legal system of bill of lading carrier is more urgent. This paper is to make a systematic study on the legal system of bill of lading carrier. The paper is divided into three charters. Charter one is the conception and category of Bill of Lading carrier. Author discusses the effect of bill of Lading in Charter two in order to do some good legal preparations for the next study. Charter three is the main part of the article. Author mainly discusses rights and obligations of bill of lading carrier. In this part, Author is to break through rights and obligations of bill of lading carrier based on the theories of joint responsibility and principle of equity. Charter four the author puts forward several pieces of advice on legislation of bill of lading carrier based on study so you say. Author hope this paper will do contribution to perfecting the legislation of the bill of le.ding carrier of our country.
